How It Works (Fun Science!)
The crystals are made from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)—a water-soluble polymer. When you moisten the granules inside the mould, they soften, swell and stick together. The long polymer chains tangle up, forming a stretchy, elastic material.
That elasticity is what makes your ball bounce! When the ball hits the ground, the polymer chains compress, then quickly spring back, pushing the ball up into the air again.

Good to Know

• Store finished balls in an airtight container to keep them bouncy

• Over time, balls may naturally dry out and lose some bounce

• Crystals are safe for skin

• If crystals get on clothing, simply wipe off with water
